Have you tried installing Avast Antivirus on your new Windows 10 computer? Users may run into serious problems with Windows 10 software while doing an avast antivirus setup. About Avast?

Avast is one of the most popular antivirus programs. Many users who have used it on earlier versions of Windows also have it installed on Windows 10.

However, even if this antivirus solution is fully compatible with Windows 10, some errors can still occur. This article lists the most common problems reported by users and their solutions.

What if Avast isn't running on Windows 10?

  • Windows 10 Action Centre does not recognize Avast.
  • This is because it causes a black screen in Windows 10 Process trust error during Avast installation
  • Avast Antivirus will not be updated

Solution if Avast does not start

If Windows 10 Action Center does not recognize Avast:

  • Right-click on the Avast icon in the system tray.
  • Go to Avast Shields Control and select Disable for 10 minutes.
  • Then reactivate it in the same way and select Activate All Shields.

This should help Windows 10 detect Avast, and the above message doesn't bother me anymore.

Avast causes black screen on Windows 10

  • Click the Avast icon in the system tray to open the Avast user interface.
  • Go to the Settings tab, then to General.
  • Go to Exclusions and click Add to add the following addresses to Exclusions: C: \ Windows \ Explorer.exe And
  • C: \ Windows \ ImmersiveControlPanelSystemSettings.exe
  • Restart your PC.

Some users also reported that installing Avast on Windows 10 caused a black screen issue. This is not a common problem, but once you've experienced it, you can try the above solutions. After that, you should no longer face the problem. However, if you do, the problem may not be Avast-related.

Process trust error during Avast installation

Reason for error: This error message may appear when you try to install Avast on Windows 10. This is because the Process Trust displays a fatal pop-up message stating that Avast does not trust the Avast installer. This means that you cannot install Avast on your computer.

Solution: Usually, people get an error because Avast conflicts with the current antivirus. Therefore, disable your current antivirus (most likely Windows Defender) and try the Avast installation again.

This time there should be no problem. This error reminds me that it is not good to have two antivirus programs installed on my computer. If Windows 10 interferes with your antivirus installation and can be fixed immediately, take a closer look at the detailed guide.

Avast Antivirus is not updated

Solution:

  • Running older versions of Windows may prevent other apps and programs from running properly.

Temporarily disable firewall / VPN

  • Go to Start and enter your firewall.
  • Double-click on Windows Firewall.
  • Click Turn Windows Firewall on and off.
  • Click Turn off Windows Firewall.

Windows Firewall may prevent you from installing the latest software updates on your computer.

Start your computer and clean it

  • Type your system configuration in the search box and press Enter.
  • On the Services tab, select the Hide all Microsoft services check box and click Disable All.
  • On the Home tab, click Open Task Manager.

  • On the Home tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click OK.
